Almost fully ripe on 1st day of fall, second photo~ 9/23/11
Habitat:
Growing wild, near a cow pasture.The American Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana) is native to the eastern United States and is higher in nutrients like vitamin C and calcium. Its fruit is traditionally eaten in a special steamed pudding in the Midwest.
