Wildlife Spotting

These grow all over central Utah's canyons. They are usually no more than about a foot or two high, with green leaves that turn red as they age. Yellow flowers cover them in early spring, later green berries form and turn purple by late summer. They are bright purple inside and smell sweet, but of course I haven't tasted one!
