Wildlife Spotting

Apparently more than one Oxalis has that property; the redwood sorrel is also called "sourgrass" for the same reason. Funny that an Oxalis is called buttercup. Common names are so random.

I know it's not the scientific name but I call that sour grass. It comes in every year about this time. You can eat the whole stem and flower and it has a crazy sour taste like sour candies.

Not mustard, I don't think.

BTW that Part of San Diego where the Cabrillo monument is ,is quite awesome!! Though i found San Diego as a whole very pretty.

Animallover could this be mustard? We have a lot of these on Mt Diablo in San Franscisco.

You have 2 different plants for this spotting. You can split them into 2 separate spottings to make them easier to ID.
