The signature is called stabilimentum, and they may vary a lot, not being species related.

Yes, it seems to be only the signature spider that leaves a signature X on its web...
I'm sort of confused, too. Google image results show a different pattern for each, and the signature spider search shows the four zigzags.

Picture is taken nicely. I see such almost white spider..!!
Oh, I though writing/writer spider and signature spider were the same?

The only group I know that makes this zigzag are writer spiders. This is such a beautiful photo.
