Field Notes

Description:

Easy to hear, but hard to spot since it's so little.

Habitat:

The Puerto Rican Tody can be found throughout the main island of Puerto Rico. It predominates in forested areas, specially in high altitude damp forests where insect concentrations are higher. It also can be found in forests with dense thickets and vines in the south region of the island.

Thanks guys! I'd love to go back to hear it again.
Is the Puerto Rican Tody the national bird of Puert Rico?
@alicelongmartin The Puerto Rican Tody belongs to the group of Coraciiformes. I copy from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tody): The todies are a family, Todidae, of Caribbean birds in the order Coraciiformes, which also includes the kingfishers, bee-eaters and rollers. The family has one genus, Todus.
