Field Notes

Description:

Katydid is bright green and resembled grasshoppers. It was 2 inches long, with powerful hind legs and whiplike antennae. It also had two forewings and two hind wings..

Habitat:

Found in the tall grass near the Tamarac Visitor Center during a insect sweep. This is an open area near a pond.

Notes:

To see katydids, go out after dark and listen for their loud call.

Hi Tamarac Connie, your first picture is not displaying, you can use the "edit this spotting" link to either removed or replace the picture which is not displaying. If you have problems with doing this you can contact the Ranger team via the "support chat" for help. You also have the same problem on another spotting, I will comment on that also.
