Green Bee-eater

Ashish, I've only seen them on phone wires too, but before our technology, they lived closer to the ground. "They nest in hollows in vertical mud banks. Thanks Ava... for info.. Here in Western ghats... I have to check with local experts about this fact... I am not a Bird specialist...!! Since my trekking around Western Ghats in last 25 years.. I see this cute birds always taking flights and seated on Electric wires...

AshishNimkar, actually, bee eaters nest in sand banks so it makes sense to see it on the ground.

Noe and Pili..yes...you are right We call it Common Bee eater. Is it cub.. that's why it is grounded....This bird rarely seen grounded otherwise...?
