Field Notes

Description:

Blue black & white body (male), tail held up.
Female & young, light grey/brown bodies, tail held up & some blue in tail.
Fledgling (I assume?!) had only the beginnings of a tail.
Body up to 15cm long

Habitat:

Areas with thick underground & leaf litter

Notes:

Form family groups which help to raise the young - the adults in this group seemed to be calling for the delightfully ovoid fledgling.
Mainly eat insects but some seeds & fruit.
