Field Notes

Description:

These are quite common around our streams and ponds. They have several small, orange flowers and grow in large clusters around water.

Notes:

The seed pods, when they're ready, are designed to "pop" with even the slightest touch. They're spring-loaded! This flings the seeds in various directions.
