Description:

Female Peregrine Falcon

Habitat:

Seen hunting over rural property in Southern NSW.

Notes:

This bird was slightly injured and cameinto care for about a week, before being successfully released.

Very nice photo. I just did a little reading up on Peregrines. I had no idea they were such a widespread species. We've had a pair nesting on the roof of the University of Massachusetts library for years. I love watching them while I'm on my lunch break.
