@Elsa, thanks for the additional information.
Diadema urchins feed on algae and are therefore keystone species on Caribbean coral reefs. In the 80s a mass die-off of this sea urchin had devastating impacts, causing entire ecosystems to collapse. In other words, you've documented one of the most important species of Caribbean reefs :)
