Description:

The Soldier Pansy or Soldier Commodore (Junonia terea) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found in the Afrotropic ecozone. It is a very common and widespread species. The wingspan is 50–55 mm in males and 52–60 mm in females.

Habitat:

Seen on bushes by the side of a dirt road running through the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, SW Uganda.
