That isn't a fruit fly. They are much smaller and almost transparent. I have a similar fly which I can't identify either (not the same though I don't think). So if you do manage to get an ID I'll be interested to see what it is. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6005807 Sorry I can't be more help. :)
