Description:
I don't know what kind of duck/scaup this is. He was the only black duck hanging out in this pond and was very skittish. I couldn't get close enough to take a good picture with my camera (zoom not good enough). Possibly an American coot?
Habitat:
Artificial wetland in inner city Calgary.
Notes:
The pictures aren't very good, this guy would not let me get close.
