Description:
A common diving bird of North America that is the world's most abundant grebe species. This species breeds in the central United States and overwinters along the west coast, in the southwest, and in Central America. The particular partially leucistic bird lacked normal pigmentation in most areas of its body with the exception of its dark cap.
