Description:

This wasp struggled through some mud under our car port before reaching dry land.

Habitat:

"The native range of P. dominula covers much of southern Europe and North Africa, and temperate parts of Asia as far east as China.[6] It has also been introduced to Australia and North and South America." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polistes_dominula

Notes:

Considered invasive in U.S.
