Field Notes

Description:

Small tree with spikey silver leaves. Trunk approx 6 - 8" and height of 10 to 30'. There are 8 or 10 of these trees growing along the path in the NW corner of the park. Park was previously private land and these could have been planted as ornamentals.

Habitat:

Mixed forest of cedar, fir, maple & alder with a small river and marsh in the centre. Park is surrounded by farm land.
