Description:

A medium sized deciduous shrub very common in the Pacific Northwest. One of the first shrubs to flower in the spring in our area.

Habitat:

Grows in mixed forest, parks, and hedgerows.

Hi Alice, Mostly decorative. They are edible but quite bitter and the pit is really large so there's hardly any fruit.
