Description:

Eureka! After searching for years, I spotted a Northern Rough Greensnake in the hemi-marsh at Huntley Meadows Park. These photos aren't my best work as a wildlife photographer — the snake was a little too small and a little too far away -- but hey, at least they prove I saw a Northern Rough Greensnake!

Habitat:

Huntley Meadows Park, a 1,425 acre wetland area in Fairfax County, Virginia USA. Related Resource: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/huntley/
