Field Notes

Description:

Small finch-like bird with buff sides and dark crown, pale belly.

Habitat:

Tropical woodland

Notes:

Known to weave beautiful nests with twigs, sought after by interior designers to make lamp shades (not an eco-friendly idea). This one has a nest in a low tree growing out of a small pond. It was flitting from tree to tree, as if to see if it is same to approach the nest.
