Field Notes

Description:

Araneidae; Argiope; Argiope luzona (Walckenaer, 1842). This extremely small juvenile Argiope Spider is at a stage in its development in which it is impossible to identify the species by its current appearance. So I will just visit it from time to time until it develops enough to identify.

Habitat:

This very small juvenile Argiope luzona was spotted in our backyard on the underside of a Taro leaf (Colocasia esculenta) locally known as Gabi. Plant identification - http://www.stuartxchange.org/Gabi.html
