Gorgeous orange, yellow and black butterfly.

Habitat:

At the Parque del Este in Caracas, near mountain range and capital city.

Notes:

Just came fluttering by while I was watching some sloths...

Scientific name and your common name is correct. As I mentioned so many subspecies but the one I suggested is the closest
So is it in fact the Mariposa Butterfly???

Hi Jellis Thank you, but now I am confused....The link you added to my ID says Menapis Tigerwing. That is where I got it from. Anyone else can share a light on this?
Menapis Tigerwing is different then the Mariposa. Though the scientific name is correct. There are many subspecies but different Common names to each.
You have the wrong ID. The Menapis Tigerwing has yellow and yours has orange. The Menapis Tigerwing markings don't match.
