Yes it is. I can't tell you how many times I look at a thumbnail and think it's the eye of some big critter to realize later it's a moth or whatever.
I also thought it was two..then I looked better and is only one..nice mimetic effect!
I assume this coloration is to confuse predators?

Is that really a single butterfly? Not two mating? Wow. Great shots.
