I spotted this near my guesthouse in the chocolate hills on the island of Bohol. Never seen anything like it.

I've updated with the proper ID. An ID made by ceherzog led me to Dischidia and solving this mystery.
I spotted something similar in Uvita, Costa Rica (still no ID). http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5658429 Both are pretty peculiar as vines go.
