Field Notes

Description:

Moray Eels have a great deal of number of species... This one in particular I don't know which one it is. It was found in a snorkeling trip at Icaco's Island in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Habitat:

Costal reefs, small crevices, ship wrecks, and rocks are able to provide moray eels with everything they need in a habitat.

Species ID Suggestions

Goldentail Moray

Gymnothorax miliaris

that is a great picture of an eel. what photo gear are you using underwater?
Its definitely a moray and not a barracuda
That's a barracuda, they are very aggressive when they are hungry... Nice picture!
