Field Notes

Description:

The common myna has a black hooded head, a yellow patch behind the eyes, a yellow bill and yellow legs. It also has a white patch on the outer primaries, and the wing lining on the underside is white. Spotted here in a public park in Abu Dhabi where they are very common.

Habitat:

Open woodlands, urban environment. Native to Asia and introduced to many other parts of the world.

Notes:

This territorially aggressive bird is a threat to other wildlife in Australia.

1 fun fact, common myna able to imitate people's talk. normally the one that kept at home.
It is a common follower of humans in India.
