Field Notes

Description:

MALE: Slightly larger than the Olive-backed Sunbird, very colourful - brown throated, blue-green crown, blue nape, yellow breast and belly, brown shoulders, olive-green wings! Red eyes.

FEMALE: Quite similar to Olive-backed Sunbird in plumage, but has distinctive red eyes.

Habitat:

Flowering trees.

Notes:

Ketam Quarry, Pulau Ubin, Singapore
