It is male. Just for the record, the male is using his impressive appearance to attract the female, at the productive period. Though, they are known for their amazing beauty, they are also known for their "disturbing" voice. This one in the photo is definetely more than 2 years old, since its feathers are fully developed. I hope i helped a little!
