This guy helped us catch a big fish, some kind of a bass as I got told

Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada

so far to me it looks exectly as the one I catch, thanks. I'll show it to the guys
This appears to be one of the darters, possibly a logperch darter (Percina caprodes): See http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Home/species_a_to_z/SpeciesGuideIndex/logperchdarter/tabid/6675/Default.aspx and see if you agree, but look at some of the other darters as well.
