Not a problem. I would have felt badly if I had identified these incorrectly as I had previously identified them for someone else. In the past, I have left the aphids to the ladybugs. However, they don't seem to be around as much this year. I have only seen very small ones - no match for the aphids!
I think I see my problem. It is such a strong close up that it was hard to recognize the Milkweed. I apologize. Nice hearlthy Milkweed in spite of the aphids. Now you just need a Mealy Bug Destroyer.
I was looking for a yellow aphid in FL. If documentation indicated specifically that it fed on scarlet milkweed that would be a bonus. Wikipedia only listed the name but the info from IFAS seemed pretty solid. My roses seem to be immune. I find it very strange.
I have trouble with your Milkweed plant. Aphids go on any kind of plants that they can suck on. I use to get them on our roses, so they don't go on a specific plant.
