Description:

Mid-sized frog. The dorsolateral ridges run down the sides of the back, which distinguishes the green frog from the bullfrog, which entirely lacks them.

Habitat:

Green frogs live wherever shallow freshwater ponds, swamps, and streams are found. Native to eastern US and Canada.

The ridge behind the eye runs down the back. In American Bullfrogs, the ridge runs around top and side of the tympanum (eardrum). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_bull_frog
