This baby tapir was following me one day in the Amazon. So cute!

This type of tapir can be found near water in the Amazon Rainforest.

No problem. I've had this happen to me before too. I write in the location and then it saves a different one, usually in the same country. I try to scan them over once I've saved them to make sure it's all there. Those details make more sense too. Thanks.
And thanks. I updated the location. Looks like the site changed to Arequipa in error.
I was walking along the river bank of the Amazon River. I was not in Arequipa. I was staying along the river. The closest town was Iquitos. I'm guessing the people at the lodge were feeding it. It was separated from its mother.
The tapir was following you? That doesn't sound like wild animal behavior. Where did you see it? Arequipa is pretty far from the Amazon.
