Description:

A pride of lion in the Maasai Mara National Reserve in south-western Kenya. First and third photos capture a male lion, while the second photo shows the larger pride resting after gorging on a kill.

Habitat:

The Maasai Mara National Reserve (MMNR) covers some 1,510 km (583 sq mi) in south-western Kenya. The terrain of the reserve is primarily open grassland with seasonal riverlets.
