I have updated. As usual, when we have these long conversations, I've chosen what neither of us started with. My mistake was thinking that the purple morning glory ( http://www.eol.org/pages/580943 ) and siting previous to this did not have a white counterpart. Updates to the notes show that it does.
Please check climber's size and compare with information on link. Only can judge the exact specie as you know how it is.
So what is the give away that the original was wrong? Is it is leaf shape?
