Field Notes

Description:

This unique Asian native is a true, year-round beauty. At a mature height of 25-30 ft., this small, pyramidal tree bears lovely, white camellia-like blooms from June through August. The ever-changing foliage emerges bronze-purple and turns to deep green in spring, then to shades of red, purple and gold in the autumn. The eye-catching “patchwork” bark is a treat to behold all year long.
