Description:
Large ascending pleurocarpous moss; leaves with two costas; leaves pleated
Habitat:
I found this colony of R. triquetrus on a dead branch on the forest floor. This moss can usually form dominance or be co-dominant in moist coniferous/ deciduous mixed forests. Usually found on forest floor, logs, stumps, and occasionally ascending the bases of big leaf maples.
