Description:

tight cluster of extremely wholly insects, see last photo for extremely cropped and sharpened pic of the insects body.

Habitat:

temperate forest

Notes:

I spotted these insects on the underside of a leaf while hiking with fellow ranger ForestDragon in Short Hills provincial park.

Correction from Bug Guide, these are Psyllids. I don't know the species but they seem to look similar to genus Hemitrioza: http://bugguide.net/node/view/353956/bgpage I don't feel confident to call it for that genus either.

According to BugGuide they are aphids. I don't have anything further than that unfortunately.

Yeah, I thought that too. I'm going to look through my photos, see if I can find one of the upperside of the leaf.
