Description:

Many of these brightly coloured birds surrounded us as we ate our lunch at the Olduvai Gorge. They have black and yellow wings, black beaks, and yellow to white breasts.

Thank you! That was a great start - I am putting it as Serinus dorsostriatus because you pointed me in the right direction!
I'm sure it's from the Fringillidae family. And I'm almost sure that it is from the genus Serinus, but I have to search more information.
