Field Notes

Description:

A small and fast-moving woodpecker with a striped or barred appearance. Has a broad black eye line and crown. Often see clinging on to tree trunks and branches, pecking away. Can move up, around and down a trunk very rapidly.

Habitat:

Trees with bark that harbour juicy insects.

Notes:
