@lori.tas, It's a different owl, but a really great video! I'll add the link to the video to this spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5566580
Dn't know if this is the same species, but I loved the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=37MNE8tOBG4
@Ashish, These pictures where taken during a cold and grey day,... but otherwise you could be right, it originates from African with a lot of sunshine!
It looks avoiding sunshine enter its eyes...!!
@Bas, Although I enjoyed the bird show, I am ambivalent about this type of initiative. As long as it comes to animals who would otherwise perish in the wild (as the consequence of an accident or something similar) I agree and understand. Somehow it doesn't feel right to lock birds like these in small cages.
i have been to a show of them at ''Archeon''. in Alphen aan den rijn. The Bengal eagle owl was sitting next to me during the show. and i saw this owl and the Bengal eagle owl at the TV show, "de wereld draai door''
Hi Bas, Yes you are right. I did a photography workshop with them in 2009. Really great to so those bird at close range and take their portrait. Have you been there yourself?
I think these are the birds from the ''Roofvogelboerderij" http://roofvogelboerderij.nl/pagina/11/0/bekijk_de_vogels really nice birds :D
Uurs, I think the whole bird was interesting,... furry
Interesting whiskers around the beak!
