Description:
Is a resident species at intermediate elevations throughout the country, ( Costa Rica) In most areas it is local and is distributed in isolated groups It reproduces primarily from 800 m. in the mountains in the north, and from 1200 m, up to 2000 m. in the Cordillera de Talamanca.
After the reproduction can move to 300 m. on the slopes or climb up to 2450 m, and rarely higher.
Habitat:
They live in the inner canopy and forest edges and old secondary forests. They prefer cool, wet forests. Only the females are nesting are often located in well-shaded understory.
