Description:

Jagged edged leaves in groups of three. Fruit like small strawberry.

Habitat:

Morton Arboretum amongst many varieties of tree (oak, pine, willow)

Notes:

Clearly related to strawberries

I think Potentilla indica is correct. It was too late in the season to see flowers so I cannot confirm their colour. These were quite dense like a ground cover.

what makes you think it isnt straberry? the leaves to me look like one, may be the plant is just yonge at the moment
