Description:

White flower on an upright stalk blooming wild in a yard after rain. The yard was noted to have several of these plants but they are still considered to be volunteers rather than planted by the owner.

Habitat:

Sunny yard in the tropical south after the start of the rainy season.

Thanks! I just never would have come to that conclusion going down the path I was. But now I know.
These are not onions or chives, they are native rain lilies, that is if you are talking about the flowers. They come up when it rains.
