Field Notes

Description:

Tiny plants in the NT tropical forest, around 4cm in diameter. The drops on the red parts were sticky, nectar maybe.

It's one of the prettier rosette types of Australian Drosera. The Drosera on our property are the tall straggly types, but I'm fond of them nonetheless.
Thank you very much Lori and Meik! It looks like one little insect is has been caught (left side).
It looks like a carnivorous plant and the droplets are used to catch insects. It belongs most probably to the genus Drosera.
