Description:

Blooming at 5:00 PM but looks like a morning glory.

Habitat:

Looks like a vine on a fence.

Species ID Suggestions

Island Morning Glory

Ipomoea indica

The sepals are those of Ipomoea indica. Ipomoea violacea doesn't look anything at all like what is shown, not in any way , shape, manner or form and what wiull likely come as a shock to the otherwise unknowing is that Ipomoea violacea is NEVER violet or any color approaching blue. no idea on the insect...seems like I've seen them in full bloom well into the afternoon
Do they bloom in the late afternoon? And do you know if that is a bee if some type? Thanks again , Mitch!
