Field Notes

Description:

This bird was the third bird in a row to feed off this dead branch. This bird has a white belly, dark grey wings with what looks like a distinct brown feathering on the inside of the wing. The head is white in the front and around the eyes with a large brown "hat" on the top of the head. He followed the Hairy Woodpecker and he acted a lot like the woodpecker.

Notes:

I tried to post several angles of the bird for ID purposes. It was sure acting like the woodpecker.

Thanks for the ID help Birdlady.
