Beautiful shot & composition.
They are. A bit frowsy and bumbly and poking around ineffectually, but so adorable.
Yes, they also nest in my garden, which is not where this was taken. The young are out and around looking for food for themselves under my feeders. I especially like the Spotted Towhee as it stays with us all year round and gives me some winter birds to watch from the window!:)
You could almost tell what kind of bugs, grubs, worms he has in his mouth from the photo!
