sttweets - I looked up and read about the chaser you mention and it is only found in Europe. This little guy is in the US
sttweets- I have added the only other picture that I have of this species - does the broad body chaser have those two blue patches on the thorax? That little coloring is keeping me from changing it - dont have a book and am searching the web Greeneda - I am attaching a photo link from BugGuide that shows the wing holding technique http://bugguide.net/node/view/512790/bgimage
Although I cannot see all details I'm pretty sure it's a broad bodies Chaser. See my pictures to compare: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6651615
I was on a dragonfly page looking up the species and I saw people holding them this way. We were very careful and each little guy flew away afterwards so I am hopeful that this didnt hurt while we were holding them!
