Description:

Really difficult to get a picture of these Brown creepers! They blend in to the bark and they are constantly moving. A streaky brown on top and white underneath. They have a long thin bill with a slight downward curve and a long stiff tail used for support as the bird creeps upwards.

Habitat:

Spotted on a cottonwood tree at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. Their breeding habitat is mature forests, especially conifers, in Canada, Alaska and the northeastern and western United States.
