This is great! My two favourite animals :)
This is so incredible. Thanks for sharing. Amazing! And congratulations on capturing a very unique moment. It is so so sweet.
This is one of the most beautiful pictures representing curiosity in nature. That part of the world is truly remarkable.
This is so special, I dont even know what to say!
number three looks like they are saying something to each other!
sweet and tender moment and fabulous picture =)
Amazing series!! Love the animal interaction. What a grand sighting!
Love #3!! Cool encounter!!!
looks like the meerkat was asking directions to the giraffe :-) cute picture
C'm'ere... let me give you a kiss. Okay. That's it. You can go away now...
Must be a candidate for photo of the year! Brilliant work.
Thank you for your kind comments. I believe that if I can get another moment like this one my life time it would be something from another world. answering: I've created an account on flicker but at the moment I'm just pushing to many personal projects at the same time. Never the less you can find me at facebook (Alfonso Paz or AnimaisFotos), Twitter (AnimaisFotos), Google+(AlfonsoPaz), or at my personal site (animaisfotos.com).
Wow. A completely marvelous set of photos. I've always believed that luck consists of knowing exactly what to do (and skilled enough to do it) when the right moment presents itself, and you sure were lucky on this! The Nat Geo selection is well-deserved. Look forward to seeing more of your work. Are you on Flickr?
:-) I had the same reaction with my daughter (8years old). Always cheers me up to see kids reaction to animal photos. I only take additional time selecting a photo for my personal collection if that first reaction goes beyond the usual. One day I'll have to compile some of the questions that raise when they look it for the first time... Thanks for sharing.
Just shared this with my eleven-year-old daughter, who is a huge meerkat fan. Now she wants me to take her back to the zoo to visit the meerkats again.
Thank you Project Noah and NG. Feeling honored and privileged. Joyful moments share with the community for the pleasure of all Nature Lovers. Warm feelings to everyone in Project Noah. Oh!... Almos forgot. Special thanks for the Giraffe and meerkat. APaz, in favor of wildlife conservation, preservation and protection http://animaisfotos.com
What a beautiful way to begin my day. Thank you for your pictures, and your patience.
Must have been a great experience watching this happen... AND capturing it with your camera!
Your pictures are amazing, it touches my heart seeing how animals respect eachother. Really beautiful!!
congratulations for the NG shot of the day! your pic really deserves it :-)
It must have been something like this. The Giraffe accidentally stepped upon the home of the Meerkat and immediately bowed to apologise. The Meerkat was initially annoyed but driven by the politeness of the Giraffe, pardon him by planting a kiss. Something for we humans to learn. Do we forgive people even when they sincerely apologise?
i have been enjoying all the Project's photos, but i signed in because of this beautiful photograph !.....what a magical moment !....and so tender......
Congrats, your photo was selected as spotting of the week by National Geographic! http://www.facebook.com/natgeo/posts/248349031857827
Are you talking to me?, Are you talking to me?
I think I am in love! How come this animals are so gentle with each other... But yet we "humans, top of the food chain" can't get along with someone of our "kind" due to color or creed!
what a nice story indeed...never imagine such but then we dare to imagine what could be
